Actively designing the future
Participating in representative bodies and economical networks strengthens our company and supports the implementation of our company goals. Of primary importance is the exchange of experience and views with other members concerning technological and economical developments.

The membership in national and international associations allows us to confirm the high and important role of corporate responsibility at Baumüller.

 

For these reasons, our company is a member of the following associations:

 

 

ZVEI
The "Zentralverband Elektrotechnik- und Elektronikindustrie e. V." (ZVEI, Central Association of Electrotechnical and Electronics Industry) represents the economic, technology and environmental policy interests of the German electrical industry on a national and international level. Baumüller is one of approx. 1,400 companies merged in the ZVEI.

 

Günter Baumüller is the leading representative from Baumüller as membership company in his role as the chairperson of the Electrical Drives department in the Automation professional association. Members of Baumüller participate in various different working groups of ZVEI.

VDMA
The VDMA – the Verband deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e. V. (Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering) – represents a merger of approximately 3,000 primarily small to medium-sized companies.

 

Dr. Peter Kreisfeld, member of the management of Baumüller Holding GmbH & Co. KG, is involved as a board member of the State Association Bavaria of the VDMA. In seven different working groups, employees of Baumüller exchange views and experiences with other member companies.

IHK Nürnberg
The Nuremberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Middle Franconia represents the interests of its member companies in all questions regarding economic and transportation policy to politics and administration.

 

Günter Baumüller is vice-president of the board of the CIC Nuremberg. Dr. Peter Kreisfeld is a member of the “Industry, Research and Technology” committee and Alexander Holler of the “External Economic Relations” committee. Baumüller is also represented in the working groups “Environment” and “Law”.

BayMe
BayME (Bavarian Federation of Industrial Enterprises in Metal and Electronics) represents member companies that are primarily situated in the metal and electronics industry.

 

Baumüller is a member of BayME and is also directly represented in the IT working group, in the group of operating and HR managers as well as in the Metallpool PLUS Initiative.

ASQF
The "Arbeitskreis Software-Qualität Franken e. V." (Franconia Software Quality Working Group) concentrates its activities on supporting the software quality in industry, research and education in the Franconia region.

 

Baumüller is a corporate member of ASQF and represented in the steering committee. More than 400 companies exchange experiences, knowledge and ideas on software development and quality management in ASQF. The Automation Day, which also takes place in Switzerland and Austria on a regular basis, is supported by the Baumüller.

Automation Valley
Northern Bavaria occupies a top position on a national level in the area of automation technology. In the Nuremberg region alone, 20,000 employees are working in this sector of industry in more than 200 companies, which corresponds to almost ten percent of all German jobs in this category.

 

The “Automation Valley” Initiative bundles this regional research and development expertise in automation technology. Baumüller is a founding member of “Automation Valley”.

CIA - CAN in Automation
The international manufacturer and user association Controller Area Network in Automation GmbH unites 385 membership companies. The organization devoted itself to the dissemination and standardization of the CAN bus (ISO 11898) in automation technology.

EttherCAT
The members of the EtherCAT technology group support the development of the EtherCAT fieldbus system. The open system is used by 140 membership companies

The broad utilization of the benefits of digitally-controlled drives at numerically-controlled machines can only be implemented via a suitable standard interface to the NC.

The interest group SERCOS interface e. V. (IGS) made it its business to provide all interested groups access to this open digital interface for communication between numeric controls and drives under the designation SERCOS interface and to monitor the international standard IEC 61491 / European standard EN 61491 and its compliance with the properties connected with the collective mark.

OMAC
OMAC (Open Modular Architecture Controls) was founded as international platform for the cooperation of end customers, OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), technology providers and service providers and now consists of 600 members.

 

As a member in the “Technology Providers and Integrators” area, Baumüller supports the development, integration and support of systems and components
