| Eight operating
and display devices are available to the user
in the b maXX HMI and b maXX IPC product ranges,
from text-oriented control terminals to TFT touch
panels and entire IPCs.
The new b maXX HMI and IPC range has been specially
designed for special automation requirements.
The range covers control and display equipment
requirements from the b maXX HMI 10 text-oriented
terminal to Touch TFTs such as the b maXX HMI
60T and the b maXX IPC 15 industrial PC. Baumüller
operating and display tools allow the machine
to be adapted to any production process.

User orientation
and operator convenience are characteristic
of Baumüller operating and display
products. All terminals in the HMI series
are programmed using the same b maXX HMI
Programmer programming tool.
The compact design of the b maXX HMI provides
the user with a comprehensive range of functions
in a small space. The b maXX HMI range includes
a comprehensive array of operating terminals.

| The terminal
versions range from the text-oriented b
maXX HMI 10 and b maXX HMI 20 to the b maXX
HMI 30 and b maXX HMI 50 graphics/text terminals
and the two touch displays, b maXX HMI 40T
and 60T.
The Web functionality of the b maXX HMI
product range makes it possible for machines
to have remote diagnosis and remote maintenance
via a LAN/WAN connection.

considerable number of expansion cards are
available for the bigger terminals. The
terminals expand in a modular fashion in
line with application requirements.
The IFC MC memory expansion provides more
project memory, and data can be transferred
between different terminals. The IFC PBDP
expansion card connects the terminal to
the Profibus DP field bus system.
The IFC ETTP/ETCX card provides the terminal
with a LAN/WAN connection. The IFC 128E
is also available, which provides up to
128 external function keys. The IFC PI card
provides the link to a parallel printer
connection.

Multilingual capability and the management of
numerous alarms are other properties of the b
maXX HMI product range. Multilingual support allows
the programmer to translate items into other languages
without problems. The texts are easy to export
and re-import for translating purposes. Effective
alarm management provides an immediate overview
of the status of the machine. Alarm messages can
be combined in groups and prioritized.

The
terminals in the b maXX HMI product range
are programmed under Windows using the b
maXX HMI-Programmer tool. This contains
a comprehensive list of symbols with static
and dynamic graphics, full Windows support,
Unicode, six menu languages, full graphics
etc. What you see is what you get.
The intuitive user guidance and block structure
make programming extremely quick and simple.
Vector graphics make it possible to create
displays
with superimposure, dynamic and static objects
that are controlled by the b maXX-drivePLC,
the b maXX-controllerPLC or the b maXX-softPLC.

The way in which the objects are displayed can
be modified. Self-generating symbols can also
be defined and used in the projects. The menu
structure is generated and displayed by means
of
an automatic link between the project displays.
The project and symbol templates make it
possible to effectively re-use structures, independently
of the HMI that is being programmed.
